Children's Meetings
Children are an important part of the church at St Mellons, and have a number of ministries just for them.
Pre-school children
For those with very young children, a toddlers group on Friday afternoons provides a welcome time to meet together. A pre-school crèche during the morning and evening Sunday services also allows parents a chance to focus on worship and on the preaching, knowing that your child is being well-cared for.
Sunday School (4-14 yr olds)
Sunday school meets each week at 12 noon, for an hour, and is the only children's ministry that continues throughout the summer months. We'll have more information about Sunday School here shortly.
Children's Clubs (7-11 yr olds)
Those in junior school have a choice of two clubs: CBBC on Monday evenings and Friday club on… well, you guessed it, Friday!
Friday Club
Friday Club is for children in school years 3 – 6, and offers something for children with lots of energy! We meet at the church during term time from 6:15pm – 7:15pm. Activities include games and a bible story each week and either craft, cooking, or a quiz. During the summer term we often go down to Ty’r Winch Park to play field games. The children earn points each week for attending and behaving well. They can also earn extra points for bringing a friend! The points enable the children to come on a trip at the end of each half term and twice a year they can use their points to choose prizes. CBBC
CBBC (Caersalem Baptist Bible Club) is more little more relaxed than Friday club, and offers a terrific mix of bible stories, songs, crafts, cookings, games and memory verse. It meets from 5:45 to 6:45 each Monday evening during term time in the church building. Just turn up if you'd like to join us!
Impact (11-15 yr olds)
Impact is a meeting for 11-15yr olds held at Pill Du Farm. There are a wide variety of games including pool, air hockey, table football, table tennis and a Nintendo Wii, and tied in with a range of different activities, fun is never far away! Each week there is a talk from the Bible lasting around 15 minutes, whereby we can share the good news about our saviour, Jesus Christ. The group has been running since 2006 and is now well established, with regular numbers of between 25 and 30, and if you're in this age group, you're more than welcome to join in the fun!
